Subaru of AmericaNational Sales Meeting

Role: Design, IllustrationCreative Director: Chris BishopCopywriter: Ric HawthorneAccount Manager: Jane Horner

The Subaru National Business Conference embraced a coffee theme—fitting for its Seattle setting. From booth design to takeaways, every detail reflected a casual, creative vibe true to the brand.

The Mark

To match the hand-drawn vibe, I designed a simple, sticker-style mark—like something you'd spot on a coffee shop wall.

Illustration

In a digital-first world, the best part of this project was going fully analog—every image and type treatment was hand-drawn. The process was as rewarding as the final result.

Posters

We created six hand-illustrated 16" x 24" posters showcasing Subaru Owner Benefits. Printed with layered inks for fine art texture, they became one of the show’s most stolen—and loved—items.

Artists Portfolio:A different kind of takeaway

Two sketch artists worked the booth and we needed a solution that would not only protect the artists work, but also create a memorable takeaway that would convey the Owner Benefits or "The Perks" of being a Subaru owner. Thus, the "Artists Portfolio Shell" was born. It had to be simple, something you might see a starving artist do in a coffee shop setting. All sketches and type treatments were sketched by hand.

Badge of Ownership

An exclusive keepsake special to the Subaru brand. If you've ever driven behind someone driving a Subaru, you may have seen these. These are small affinity badges that work as an expandable system to highlight the owners interests and where they've been. It was only appropriate to create one for this specific event.
